You know, those split logs used to light a fire! Everyone has their own way of stacking them. Some people crisscross them, some build a beautiful teepee. I’ve tried all methods but I am hopeless at building a fire. My husband is one of those people who has to have just the right sort of wood at the right thickness and then just at the right time add thicker wood and in no time we have a beautiful fire going. Even when the fire looks dead he can resurrect it. I just hope I never get lost in the bush because I would never be able to build a fire to keep myself warm, even though there should be plenty of twigs I could use for kindling. I think I had better give it a miss!
