Why do I sing?

Ever since I was at primary school I have sung in choirs.  I was always envious of the kids who were good at sport but that was never my thing. Non contact sport fine but I struggled to connect eye to hand when it came to contact sport.  However I could always sing!  I continued through high school singing alto as I could hold a part.  We used to practise at lunch time, our teacher eating throughout the rehearsal, spilling food on her ample bosom and sharing her garlic breath!  We represented the school at special events and even though it was a very small choir we felt very important.  I continued my love of music playing guitar and learning piano and endured many piano and theory exams before finally concentrating on singing about 20 years ago.   Stay tuned tomorrow for continuing story …..
